When Smokey was alive Rocky was very aggressive towards him when it came to feeding time and towards the end, his rage fell on me when he couldn't get to Smokey and Rocky is VERY cuddly and sweet. I think with more time Jasper might have turned on your kids OR he might have accidentally bitten them in his rage if they had tried to intervene between him and Schwartz. You're right, you need to find one that fits into your life and if it's meant to be, you will. I'm sure Jasper will find someone especially with the additional info you provided.Leave It To Cleavagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09277248874099915827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656396630431427054.post-48460720902543068002009-02-14T17:22:00.000-05:002009-02-14T17:22:00.000-05:00So sorry it came to this, but I totally would've d...So sorry it came to this, but I totally would've done the same thing. You just can't have a dog that is that aggressive in the home - it's not fair to Schwartz! I hope Jasper will find a better fit in a single-dog home.

Hugs to your kids - I'm sure they'll get over this loss and hopefully you'll be able to try again sometime soon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656396630431427054.post-25411918522220629852009-02-14T15:46:00.000-05:002009-02-14T15:46:00.000-05:00...my mind is still boggling that you went to band......my mind is still boggling that you went to band camp.

Didn't they make a movie about that? ;-)

I'm sure Jasper's next owner will be grateful for all the details. That was really good of you to provide them.Attila the Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02158308703617226652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656396630431427054.post-49552738303249472172009-02-14T10:32:00.000-05:002009-02-14T10:32:00.000-05:00Charlie, it was a very difficult decision and even...Charlie, it was a very difficult decision and even today, the silence is weird but I will admit, very peaceful. And if I had the time and the space, I would have taken each one of those dogs home with me.Michelle Flahertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09845545727534381655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656396630431427054.post-61861577252177163192009-02-14T10:27:00.000-05:002009-02-14T10:27:00.000-05:00I would have done the same thing, Kool: wondering ...I would have done the same thing, Kool: wondering if I'd done the right thing, the wrong thing, the right thing, the wrong thing, until I was nuts. And I know your decision had to hurt.

But I think you did the exact right thing, and once things settle down you can start again with a trainable pooch--God knows, there's a million of them who need a home.Charliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722567671925063706noreply@blogger.com
